The Nativity
Your second joy was when you gave birth to the Sun, you the star; the ray of light, you like the moon. You remained a virgin despite this birth. As a flower does not lose its bloom when releasing its perfume, so your virginity lost none of its bloom when the Creator deigned to be born of you.
By this joy, O Mary , be for us the straight road that leads to your Son.
