O my Mother, Most Sorrowful Mother, you fled to Egypt to escape Herod’s persecution. The One who came to save Man, must flee him. You understood that Simeon’s prophecy was already beginning to manifest with the difficult exile that was imposed on you, where with Joseph and the Child Jesus you found yourself strangers, with no money or friends. O Mary, may we console you by offering Jesus a refuge in our hearts.
