O my Mother, Most Sorrowful Mother, you didn’t abandon Jesus, you went to the foot of the Cross to assist Him in His death. You were not thinking of your own pain, but of the suffering and the death of your beloved Son. Your pain was made worse when you heard him complain to His Father of being forsaken.
You bore this pain in silence, without complaint. But your heart spoke. For our salvation, you continued to offer the life of your Son to God.
Let us be able to find consolation when our hearts are filled with bitterness, with the thought that through His death, Jesus gave us Paradise .
O Mary, crucified in your soul as your Son was crucified on the Cross; He is dead. However could you be consoled?
Only by the thought that you were now beginning your role as a Mother, to us sinners.
