Bearing a Message from Heaven

 

Dear Saint Catherine,
We know that you would not have wanted anyone to put your photo on the front page of a journal, you who are so often called “the saint of silence”. We have done it anyway, because your witness is a great hope for the people of our day, especially for the most disadvantaged ones on our earth, those whom you so loved and served. Thank you for understanding, thank you for your patience with us who are still on the journey.

Thank you for teaching all of us who journey with you to have complete trust in God the Father and in the Virgin Mary, the Immaculate One.

Thank you for sustaining in us our desire to respond to the call of Jesus in joining with all those who were and still remain your friends, persons in all forms of poverty.

Thank you for your humble fidelity to everyday life, without glamour and discourse, which made your life a “miraculous” one, that is, a life in which God lets us see the marvels of pardon and tenderness.
